New School Year! New Bentos to kick off the 2014-2015 school year!

So it's a whole new school year and I'm back in the swing of things making bentos for my now FIRST GRADER!!

I'd like to start by saying I invested in a much better lunch box this year. I searched for one that would  accommodate bentos not falling over and messing up any creations. This one is so worth the money...

And it fits way more items!! (I found it at Target)

I would suggest to anyone making their child's lunches to make sure the lunch box it worth all the hassle.

Anywho... Here's what my child had this week...

Monday - Chicken and cheese pin wheels on whole wheat tortilla, pirate booty, home made energy bites, jello bunny, celery and carrots w/ ranch, and something new we are trying this year frozen juice boxes to thaw out by lunch time, in apple.

Tuesday - Breakfast for lunch! Whole wheat mini pancakes with maple syrup to dip (in rainbow container), bear shaped hard boiled egg, cantaloupe, HM energy bites and strawberry & banana yogurt.

Wednesday - Nachoes with sour cream and mild salsa, corn, banana with a secret message on the peel, HM energy bites and apple juice box.

Thursday - Mini soy nut butter and jelly sandwiches, mandarin oranges with grapes, mozzarella and cheddar cheese kabobs, broccoli w/ ranch, HM energy bite and this time Lemonade.

Friday - Hello Kitty white rice molds w/ teriyaki sauce, banana and apple salad drizzled with honey, celery and carrots w/ ranch and more lemonade. Note the napkin! 😊

Bonus! I'd like to nerd out for a second on two things, first these adorable grass seperators I used last week! Not only functional but like I said adorable as well!

And second, my sister in law, Nicole, made my children these insanely cool reusable napkins, all hand made with love. They are just Coolsville.

Thank you, Nicole! The kids love them!!

That's it for this week! See you next Friday for more bentos! 😊
